Mental Health First Aid
Mental Health First Aid is now available as a 8 hour in person training to prepare you to assist people you encounter who may be experiencing a mental health or substance use issue. The training teaches the most common mental health conditions, risk factors, suicide prevention, and a simple 5-step strategy to offer assistance. Please register here as we can only admit 30 people for the training.
YOU MUST ATTEND THE ENTIRE TRAINING TO RECEIVE YOUR CERTIFICATE.
This class is for adults 18 years or older to helping other adults. There is a separate class to assist youth.
Mental Health First Aid has been taught to more than 2 million people worldwide and found to be effective at reducing mental health stigma, and in equipping people to identify issues and offer help.
Each class is limited in size to facilitate learning. If you register, please attend, or if plans change, release your tickets as soon as possible, so that someone else can participate.
This training is sponsored by a grant from Substance Abuse Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).
